Off-ense…Off-ense…

…that is going to be the key tonight against the Sixers. This is a team that’s cracked the 100 point mark three times in its last eighteen games, so don’t expect a ton of points from Philly this evening. The Sixers did just win this past Tuesday night in Houston, 111-107. snapping a 7 game losing streak and winning for the first time in the last 6 games away from the Wachovia Center. Statistically, the C’s should win this game with somewhat ease, but now that I’ve said that and given our recent predictions for the Bobcats game, expect a tough one tonight at the Garden.
Since I’m jinxing teams, might as well go all out with the Patriots. If the Pats take care of business this week and end up in the Super Bowl against the Giants, the G-men will have faced statistically the best defense in NFL history and statistically the best offense in NFL history in their last two trips to the big game. (Of course, the former refers to the Ray Lewis-led Ravens of 2002) A Giants fan friend of mine pointed this out, so I thought it worth mentioning here.
And, lest we forget, 39 days and counting until pitchers and catchers report…
